Oleo Misr had participate in Fast markets Global Grain MENA 2023 which has dedicated a large session of analyzing and commenting the soybean, sunflower and palm oils markets in the MENA region.

Oleo Misr is Hosting MSA Students
As a part of our social responsibility and knowledge transfer strategies, Oleo Misr hosted engineering students from the University of Greenwich, UK to share industry knowledge and to link between theories and applications in the industrial field.
The visit was arranged by Modern Sciences and Arts University under the educational exchange protocol signed between Modern Sciences and Arts University and Oleo Misr.

- How Oleo Misr contributes to implementing sustainable production practices.
Beside a site tour in Oleo Misr plant and its laboratories to know more about the Oleochemicals industry.
Alongside a presentation highlighting our company's initiatives in building a market for green products and sustainability.
We had excellent discussions regarding opportunities and challenges to lead the Oleochemicals industry in the Middle East and Africa region.
The students were particularly impressed by the scale, rapid pace, and great progress we have achieved so far.

Oleo Misr Signs a cooperation protocol with MSA university.
Oleo Misr has signed a protocol for cooperation with MSA university to develop specialty Oleochemical product “Monolaurin.”
Monolaurin is a chemical derived from lauric acid and glycerin.
For the past two decades, research scientists have been investigating possible applications for monolaurin in medicine, sanitization and food preservation.
It is planned that the developed product is locally manufactured for the first time in the region.
This cooperation protocol also suggests training and employment opportunities for MSA University graduates in Oleo Misr.
Oleo Misr Participate in Palm Oil Trade Seminar
In 28th and 29th of August 2018, Oleo Misr participated in PALM OIL TRADE SEMINAR – POTS 2018 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The event objectives were to present and reflect the current issues that surrounds the palm oil industry, congregating oils and fats industry players, marketers, traders, economists, nutritionists, government officials as well as all segments of the private industry to deliberate on the latest developments and way forward for the palm oil industry.
Oleo Misr CEO Mohamed Radwan was participating in the CEO forum discussing striking balance between profit and sustainability, in addition to presenting a paper about Oleochemical Growth Opportunities in Middle East and Africa.
Diplomacy Visit from Indonesia
An Indonesian trade diplomacy visited Oleo Misr company and was welcomed by its CEO Mohamed Radwan, who expressed enthusiasm over conducting trade relations with Indonesia, especially in the palm oil product sector.
He also appreciated the efforts made by the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo to facilitate cooperation between his country's companies and several potential Indonesian suppliers.
"We sincerely hope that the cooperative relations in the trade sector between Egypt and Indonesia can continue to be improved and we appreciate the support the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo gave us on connecting us with suppliers," Radwan said.
Oil demand for household consumption in Egypt reaches 1.2 million tons per year, of which 400-500 thousand tons come from palm oil.
"Therefore, we will import palm products and some derivatives from Indonesia, in addition to cooking oil, and products such as soap, detergents, and chemical products. "About 30-40 percent of our palm oil products will later be exported to the African and European countries," Radwan explained.
Oleo Misr previously signed a contract with the Parent Company, PTPN III (Persero), for the delivery of 10,000-16,000 metric tons (MT) of palm oil per month, with a value of 100 million US dollars (around Rp1.4 trillion).
Oleo Misr also agreed to ship palm oil amounting to as much as 4,000-5,000 MT per month, with a value of 30 million US dollars (around Rp424 billion), from PT Chitra Agri.
Ambassador Helmy and Mr. Radwan discussed the Palm Oil Business Forum which the Indonesian Embassy in Cairo will hold it in August to improve trade relations between Indonesia and Egypt, especially in the palm oil sector.
